Sea Oak and Whelk trio chandelier pendant in recycled sterling silver

This sea-inspired pendant is created in recycled sterling silver. It has a simple elegance for evenings and occasions. The Sea Oak and Trio Whelk Chandelier pendant suspends, from an arch-like stem, the curved three-cornered whelk element hanging alongside a rippled Sea Oak pod. It has a natural fluid movement as the links allow for subtle movement of each part. This also results in the pendant sitting comfortably against the skin . This chandelier pendant is inspired by spring tides when the balls of whelk eggs are woven into the shore line like cherry blossom.

The pendant is created in our North Wales studio. The surface of the silver has a textured, satin finish on the top element and a high polished finish on the pod. The bail for the chain is linked through the arch and a variety of chain lengths are available. Please contact me if you require a longer length of chain than those listed.

During the making process, subtle differences occur which results in each pair of earrings being unique.

The chain is from responsibly sourced recycled sterling silver and the pendant is produced using AgAin recycled silver which is guaranteed to have been recycled from medical x-rays in the UK.

Sea Oak

The Sea Oak collection depicts the tangles of treasure left at high tide. The designs explore the forms and textures of the rippled pods of sea oak and clusters of whelk egg cases. These are highlighted as individual pieces such as ear studs and pendants or combined to create wearable shorelines in the form of statement necklaces and bold earrings.
